The Generous Pour-Over

Having children, I believe, is one of many ways that the Lord chooses to deepen our prayer lives.   When they are born, we begin with so many expectations for them.   We might have screwed up at one point or another, but we look into those little faces and see redemption.   They will get it right.  Only as they grew do we begin to accept reality: these little people also have issues and flaws—hopefully not too many projected upon them by us—and they, too, stand in need of a risen savior.

Another reality of having a child in today’s world is the amount of protection they need from outside influences.   I share more about this in this month’s contribution to Joy Comes in the Morning.
